Waffle Sandwiches?

I recently found myself just north of Old Towne Orange and I stumbled upon a tiny corner establishment with a crowd and no parking. That’s usually a good sign, so I decided to stop in and find out about Bruxie. The menu at Bruxie was full of both sweet and savory gourmet waffle sandwiches. I opted for the Smoked Salmon and Dill Cream Cheese sandwich but was also tempted by the Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Waffle (with optional maple syrup), and the Proscuitto and Gruyere sandwich. The waffle itself was light and crispy (not sweet) and was filled with fresh cucumbers, smoked salmon, and a light cream cheese spread. The combination was refreshing and satisfying. The sweet menu has tempting combinations like the S’ Mores sandwich, PB & J, and Lemon Cream & Berries. Parking is very difficult, but if you find yourself in the area, it’s a must try. 292 N Glassell St, Orange, CA
